Essay
Magnetic fields can alter the rate, yield or product distribution of
chemical reactions. This thesis is concerned with the relatively
uninvestigated effects of weak magnetic fields ~1 mT found in
nature. This thesis is motivated by a desire to lay firm physico chemical
foundations for discussion of the biological effects of magnetic fields.
It presents new theoretical tools and applies them to interpret experimental
measurements.....[full text;
