on-line naming service

As part of its activity, the ad hoc Committee on Chemical Identity and Nomenclature Systems has established a working relationship with ACD/Labs that provides on-line naming service. A limited version of the software providing names generated by application of IUPAC recommendations is accessible for free use:

Note: This service is currently unavailable. It is hoped that it will be running early 2011.

The application exists in a more extended version. For details, visit the company website:

ACD/Labs website also provides access to ACD's freely available structure-drawing program ChemSketch, which includes the facility to generate IUPAC International Chemical Identifiers (InChIs) from drawn structures > www.acdlabs.com/download/chemsk.html
