Abstract: Essential aspects for characterization of a flow-based
analytical procedure or system are discussed in order to permit the
composition of a checklist that will lead to a protocol for reporting
results and systems in flow analysis. Aspects more related to chromatographic
procedures are not considered. The intent is to present normalized proposals
in the field of flow analysis for practitioners and developers.
