IUPAC / GDCh Symposia on
the Environment and Food

Freie Universitat Berlin, August 1999

Contributions of Chemistry to Ameliorating Environmental Contamination
Wednesday August 11, 14:00 - 18:00

Contributions of Chemistry to Sustainable Food Production
Thursday August 12, 09:00 - 13:00

These mini-symposia have been organised by the IUPAC Division of Chemistry and the Environment (DCE) to act as a bridge between the IUPAC General Assembly and the IUPAC/GDCh Congress that follows. It is an opportunity for delegates to both meetings and for other scientists from the Berlin area to learn of some of the activities within DCE and of the strong links to international research where chemistry is contributing to solutions for environmental contamination and to sustainability of food production.
